Did you happen to ever get a refund? It seems they blocked my card. I got a refund and ever since, I've been getting the same message and can't shop online for delivery anymore.

It was my banks fault all the time. I ordered from an foreign company & the bank thought it was suspicious activity. As a result they froze my credit card without telling me. I went in & they fixed the problem. It wasn't Walmart's fault.

FWIW, I ran into this today when tring to buy some tires. It turns out that Chase, my card provider, put a stop on the transaction since the amount was quite a bit larger than my typical charges. A call to them cleared the transaction.
Walmart wouldn't authorize my payment and I was using paypal account. It was authorized by paypal but not walmart. How sick is this.

Also, I see this problem has been going on for years but there's only complaining here so...why hasn't anyone seen this & fixed this or actually talk to the company about it.

I even went as far as getting on to my laptop and the same thing. I tried purchasing some shoes in December for a few weeks and i couldn't get them because of this issue. Multiple times tried purchasing re-entering information, another cc and nothing. So fustrating!
Yep, 2019, and I'm having this problem too. My debit card has been used countless times over the past couple years to check out at Walmart and now out of nowhere Walmart won't authorize it. I even went to the ATM to make sure someone didn't hack my bank account and everything was fine. I have plenty of $$ to cover a $15 purchase. I used my card at another store and a fast food restaurant since this started two days ago with no problems, so this has to be on Walmart.
Yup, still a problem, which is more hilarious when using a Walmart Rewards Card and it still getting declined. Even after confirming through Capital One (who owns walmart credit cards) that it was in fact a real purchase and not fraudulent.
This happenend to me today. Somehow my expiration date had changed on my information. I had used this same Walmart card in the store, and online. The information was changed online. I had to change it back, then it worked. I also called customer service to check to see if all was well, it was.
PS-These comments really should be monitored for offensive language!!!:(

This is why cash shouldn't go away, companies can deny your card payments for what seems like no reason at all or maybe any reason. Imagine if this happens to people in person! We need an alternative like bitcoin/cryptocurrency to pay for items without getting blocked becuase the company chooses to block us. This doesn't happen with cash, and shouldn't be such a common problem with credit cards!
its 2020 and having this issue, my card worked fine when i try to place an instore pick up but when I try the website to ship it, it gave me the error and I tried 3 cards finaly got it working with paypal, also i should point out that my cards are from a diferent state and was trying to ship to my current location, not sure it that has anything to do with it, but its weird because it worked fine for some thing and other it wont, ps My cards work fine anywhere else

Yes I'm having problems with Walmart ,Amazon and Ebay. Amazon put a temporary hold on my account and EBay shut down my account. I was able to ordered my CDs alcholic prep wipes and my phone wipes and that one went through already. I'm getting my money back from Amazon in 7 -10 business days from now !! Ugh its a pain in the butt for me now cuz I'm trying to prepare for winter !!!

I'm currently trying to buy over 400 dollars worth of Christmas gifts for my family, and my gift card (Vanilla) is getting declined at all the places I'm shopping at. If I do somehow manage to place an order (Which I managed to do on Amazon, but my account got a hold placed on it X( ), it gets canceled saying we couldn't process your card or some other frustrating crap. I'm at the point with this stupid piece of plastic where I want to throw it in a fire and watch it burn. I'm gonna try some things and see how it goes, and if none of those things work, I'm gonna get a refund. I doubt it, but does anybody have any idea what I can try before I visit the probably non existent support?
RESOLVED: In my case, for whatver reason, the experation date on my card in my Wallmart wallet was wrong. It's the default card in my account and I've used it many times. Have no clue how it was changed, but I updated it and the card now works at Walmart.
I was having this issue with the Walmart app. I wanted to add a new card to the app to take advantage of the 5% cash-back promotion. The issue for me was that at a point in time in the summer of 2022, I had mail forwarded to a PO box and CITI bank decided to change my mailing address to that PO box. So my mailing address was the PO box and my residential address was my home. So I changed my mailing address to my residential and I was able to add my Citi bank card to my PayPal profile for the Walmart app.
Same issues. Called and talked to 3 separate customer service reps... final decision, shop in store. Wow, thanks for nothing. We make &600 bi monthly purchasss and I may take that business elsewhere.
I've tried just buying a 20$ Bluetooth ear buds and it refused to accept my card. Works in store but not online. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I had been having the same problem for 3 weeks but it worked a few m inches ago. I went to my account and on my debit card I noticed it didn't have the ccv number. I put it in and tried to place the order and it worked. I have no idea how it got removed but I think this might be a possibility with some of the problems ppl are having. I hope this helps.
