i can’t watch shows now, keep getting this error code. I have uninstalled, re installed, logged out, logged back in and it keeps coming up when I go to watch a show. What is going on?
How many times do I need to put new codes in?

This is a brand new error message for me. I have been watching the ABC app for years. Today I tried to login to a "locked" episode, and I received the same 029-1216-000 error message. I tried to link to my provider and I receive the message again. I have deleted the app and reinstalled on several iPads and apple phones....same error message. Does anyone have a resolution?
I'm having the same problem! I watched 15 min of a show this morning and then it stopped working! I deleted and reinstalled and that didn't help

Go to your iPhone settings and scroll to the ABC app. If you've given the ABC app access to your TV subscriber, try turning this setting off, force close the ABC app and then go back in and manually sign in to your TV subscriber under the account tab. This fixed the issue for me.

I am having the same issue with the Freeform app. It's been like this for awhile. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, turning off access to my tv provider in the settings and it's still giving me the code. It gives the code when I click on a show or movie to watch and even when I try to sign in. Anyone figure this out yet?
i am having the exact same problem as Erin Smith with freeform and have done the same things and same code 029-1216-000. Guess they don’t want us to use their app. But it would be nice if it worked. Somebody please help.

I was able to overcome this error on my iPad by signing out of the TV Provider in the iOS Settings app and signing back in to the TV provider. The Settings app did the trick for me.
