I'm signed in. I try to check out by hitting the orange "checkout botton" and I get this message:

I hit the checkout button at least 20 times in the past hour. I still get same message.

There are a few items in cart that shows low inventory. So if someone else grabs them before I get them, I will not complete my order w walmart. This is frustrating. I will go to another site to buy.

Website has been having issue all day. So I downloaded walmart app on my phone. Signed in. My cart popped up. I placed order. It went through. I checked order history. Order is processing. So relieved. Anyone having this prolem with website should download latest version of walmart app on their androaid or ios device. Windows phone users need to find someone with one of those ecosystems.

I am having the same issue right now, Walmart needs to address this issue with their API. Apps path is a liitle different from .com.

i tried ordering what I have in my cart.. I go to order it and it says we’re sorry an error has occurred please return to your cart.. was wamtind to know why and how I can fix it

I got the same thing 6 months ago on chrome, IE, Edge, and Fire Fox on 3 different devices. I gave up and Walmart lost a purchase. I'm trying to make a purchase now and I get the same thing even after downloading the Walmart App.

I got around this by using the "save for later" feature and moving all my items out of my cart into that category. I then experimented to see if any of my items were causing the issue, and for me it was one item that would always pull up the error message. I then just bought my cart minus that one item and it worked!

I am having this same issue right now, November 16, 2020.  It's been happening for 4 days now.   I tried moving all 3 items to the 'save for later'  feature and placed them back one at a time to see if it was one of the items, but the error message came up each time.  I tried ordering with the phone app and the same thing happended.  What's going on???

OK, I start have the same problem with check out, then I move to another computer I have, no problem at all, APP on cell phone no problem at all, so it must be something in that particular computer. I remove all the extension on Chrome, still the same, could not check out. I am now going to try reset the Chrome to see any luck with that.

I try everything else now, including uninstalling the Google Chrome then reinstall it...... still the same, it works in the another computer, therefore, it is the problem on the server side (Walmart), hopefully they will fix it soon.

Same problem here 11/20/2020. Deleted cache/cookies, tried a again, same problem. Different computer, same problem.  Ugghh!

Same problem today. It seems this has been going on for a while. Walmart better fix this before the ps5 restock or that is going to be a serious problem.

I've been having the same problem! I've been trying to check out for 2 days now and keep getting the same error message as y'all do. Wal-Mart needs to fix this issue and quit playing this close to Christmas!

I had this issue on chrome on mac for a few days, I tried it on firefox and I was able to complete my order. Try a different browser and see how it goes.

I am having the same problem as those above when trying to checkout at walmart.  The response I get is-"Were sorry. An error has occurred.  Please return to your cart."  All other websites are ok.

Same issue. Reached out to the chat help, and they couldn't tell me anything and will have someone reach out to me in 2 days. SMH! SO frustrating.

Keep trying to check out on Walmart.com and am getting this same error message and to return to my cart. So many things have already been moved to the remember later section because they are selling out while I have been doing this for an hour now. I have used walmart.com many times and never had this happen. Very frusterating!! Updated the app and still getting the message.
