Black Friday epic fail. Spent 2 hours to put 3 things in cart and still can't check out 2 hours later

I have problems with horrid load speeds on the site on regular days, I expected that today was going to be brutal, but seroiusly 2 hours in and I can't checkout even with a fully loaded cart.... wow
It won't let me check out. It either says "We're sorry. An error has occurred. Please return to your cart". Now it's starting to look like it's processing, but instead it takes me automatically back to my cart. This is going to cause me to lose my sale items because of their negligence.
