I had the same problem on the New Click-N-Ship.  What I found is that you have to put in the Value of your shipment before you can get to the shipping option like Priority Medium Flat Rate. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I thought I was going crazy. Waited 1 hour 45 minutes on hold for technical support. Yay, my tax dollars...thanks for the internet and savvy people, b/c God forbid USPS be of any help.

How the hell do these government entities not test run a website to figure out the issues with it before they launch the damn thing?  Unbelievable.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting your comments here and in a few other postings.  I have been on the phone on hold with USPS for about an hour and 45 minutes...listening to the same hold music.  I thought I would go insane.  I've been on hold with other businesses, but this one is a new record for hold time.  Then I decided to google and found this site (which I have now bookmarked for future use).  I use USPS for my business so when I'm trying to use Click-N-Ship, and it doesn't work, it's a problem.  So I put in the value, and it worked for me.  I used it on IE and read in a few postings elsewhere where IE is not supported anymore, but it did work for me.  I guess the USPS web developer forgot to note that value is a necessary field to complete!!  I would have been on the phone still if I had not found this site, SO MANY THANKS!!  Really....it's a problem.  Had issues using Click-N-Ship over the weekend too (cancelling an order).  Very, very frustrating...especially when you can't reach anyone to help you!

I'm happy you figured it out, Glad. In my work I've had to deal during 25 years with about 15 different government agencies for various things , and I can say w/o hesitation, USPS is the absolute worst. They are poorly trained, don't give a damn about nothing but their paychecks and their customer service skills can only be referred to as Gasthly. They have been toying around with the idea of privatizing this useless agency for about 1 year, and I say "please do it soon!!"

My question is:  It takes prescious time to look up each value. Can I just say $50 for everything whether it is $5 or $100? Will it matter if I'm not buying insurance? What do they use the value for when you're not buying insurance?
