Desktop MAX won't load

Get "scripts error" message every time I try to load the desktop feature. This is a paid subscription and it seems as if every June they have significant problems, which is frustrating. Internet search does not show a "fix" and technical support does not respond. No telephone number to call for support.

I have wrote them 3 times in so many days. But they don't seem to be in any hurry about fixing it. Be my last time i buy anything from here. Thanks for your feedback. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. This is currently affecting all customers. We appreciate your patience! TWCi Customer Support Staff

About "script debugging error". I too have been beating my head against the wall - paid subscriber - and miss Desktop Weather Max. Anyone know if they ever fix it and how will we know?

Desktop MAX is not working. I have tried re-installing several times to no avail. How do you contact the TWC to let them know of your displeasure & to be alerted when it is fixed.? I have been a customer for many years & never experienced this type of problem/inconvenience..

Seems something like this happens every June. (I remember because it is always a couple of weeks before I am due to renew my subscription.) It usually takes a few days for them to fix whatever the problem is and then, basically, for the rest of the year it's ok. Yes. Their trouble shooting suggests reloading but when this type of problem hits, that doesn't do anything except waste your time. This problem requires a repair at their end. Since it happens near my renewal, I always look for other options and TWC is still the least expensive paid option with the next lowest being AccuWeather for around $80. The only way to get in touch with them is through their website. Bottom left corner of their homepage, under "company," click on "support." On the right side of that page, click "contact support" and a pop-up box shows up. The initial response is an auto-responder. Previous years, doing this got a response but this year I haven't even gotten a reply. This makes me think their entire desktop system isn't working. Maybe they were trying to put in updates and it crashed? - Sad fact of life for IT people. Last year they suggested I try the desktop app when MAX was out of commission. I tried it but didn't like it and then it took forever to uninstall. If I didn't like MAX so much I would probably try the app again.

Spoke with Lee in technical Operation Center, who first said there was no such thing as Desktop Weather Max, 1.770.226.0000 ext 2472. However finally discovered service did exist, and server was down. He said it should be fixed by the weekend. Go figure, he just was like many people in tech support saying anything to get you off the phone. This was Friday, May 31, 2013 at 4:30 PM Day Light Saving time East Coast.

I agree with most of the above comments. Technical support is lacking, and if they truly are experiencing a site issue it would be nice if the paid subscribers were notified, instead of wasting time trying to figure out why my pc is not running the application. I like the weather information, but at times I wonder if it is worth the aggravation. Kx1

That's pretty crazy that Lee in the technical operations center didn't even know Desktop MAX existed. Reading that Lee didn't know about MAX was interesting because when you look at TWC current site, it's really hard to find anything about MAX. When you click on their desktop options all you get is the app. I guess that's why it doesn't seem as if they are supporting it very much. And makes me wonder if they are going to get rid of it. Maybe i really will have to find another option? BTW, where did you find a phone # to call? Sometimes if they get hassled enough they tend to pay more attention. I sent an email on their contact form but didn't get an answer.

I found the found number by doing Google search, I don't remember the search wording, but got that number and it works all the time. Only there is no one there on the weekend, only get a recording, saying normal office hours 9-430 est m-f. I've pretty much given up on weather channel, Desktop weather, I don't need the aggravation of having script errors, so I'm trying out AccuWeather. Its much more detailed than the Weather Channel, but more pricey. I will see how I like it.

Having the same problem with the "script debugging error." Tried re-installing but Desktop Max will not download. Please give me a date of proposed fix and credit my account for the downtime. Thanks.

Todd, this is not the Weather Channel site. This is "site down" which monitors sites that are not working. If you want to contact the weather channel, you need to go to their site. Even though it's more expensive, I gave up today and cancelled my subscription. I am going to use AccuWeather instead.

Nice try, there - the Weather Desktop Max site is up ...only problem is no temperatures or other data. Keep working on it fellows.

I realize this thread is 4 months old, but suddenly, within the past couple of days, Desktop Max suddenly stopped loading ... instead giving me the same white window and script error experienced by others.   I've only had the app installed for about a month (I switched from weather.com Gold).  It's been working fine up until now. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it's still doing the same thing.   I also tried submitting a support request but only got a response e-mail, thanking me for my "feedback" and that my e-mail would be passed along to the appropriate Product Manager.    Arghhh!
