Also getting error messsage "Could Not Load Data" and the Retry button below the message. Very rarely, while using Retry button, an interface pops up that seems to acknowledge that I have logged-in but refuses to display any personalization. And any attempt to personalize (like adding an item to My List) results in another error message and no changes made.
I just downloaded Netflix onto my android Xoom tablet and tried it. Oddly, TV shows work just fine, but movies will not play. I get the same screen they talk about here "Could Not Load Data". How is it that a TV show can play but a movie can't?
Same here, only works with tv shows, not movies. Tried unistalling and restarting but it didn't work. Netflix is working fine on my laptop though.
Same here, I can only watch TV series. It looks like Netflix doesn't even know this is happening

I have the same problem. Netflix works fine on my PC. But on all my android devices I get the 'could not load data' screen.

Go to your Date and Time settings and make sure you are showing the correct date and time. If not either correct it or put it on auto.
It would appear that list is to with the site certificate reading your device time as not being correct.
Once corrected all should be fine.
Tried that and still doesn't work. I'm in Europe so I'm using a VPN. Until six weeks ago, I had no problem. Even tried putting the local VPN (NY) time in. Have called Netflix and my VPN provider without a solution. Am able to watch on PC no problem, but would really like to watch it on my tablet instead of in the office.
Been watching netflix on my samsung until yesterday and it just says cannot load data anyone know why this is ?
I get the message on my HTC android phone - "Could Not Load Data"
But this is only in regard to the drop down list on the left hand side of the screen - the one where films are listed according to category
the films etc visible on the main screen can be played
it just means that the choice of films to view is severely limited - you can only watch those on the front screen
done all the things people say to get this right - uninstalled and reinstalled - turned off router and turned on again
nothing fixes it
strange this only started yesterday - been workign perfectly for a month - so not sure what happend around 16th December 2014 - has an upgrade gone out that messed it up?
any ideas
