Kongregate is down, this 404 error? Nothing works! Please help! :)
Site down all of the sudden. Strange worked fine yesterday. But from what i know on sites quite a few things are possible. Either there were way to many people online and it crashed the server (tho i dont think it cause a 404 error). The server could of been hacked or had a virus.(which depending on the virus could cause a 404). THe site could of been past due on a payment so it shut down. (which again dont think would cause a 404) Or in certain cases server could be trying to reboot itself which with some errors in its system or errors in the site itself could cause a 404 to pop up. Either way they are probably working on the issue now.
I have just checked site again. Kongregate was indeed overloaded with people and it crashed Kongbot. They are currently working on the issue and the 404 shouldnt pop up anymore.
I have refreshed a couple og times now and i have seen that kong bot is working on the overload problem, i refreshed again and i got a 404 and a 403 error. (403 - Forbidden) (404 - Page not found)
