Can't retrieve email

Since last night, my husband and I haven't been able to retrieve our emails. We tried multiple iPhones and iPads (mail program on devices, XFinity Connect and at comcast.net). The message is misleading, saying our user ID or password is wrong. The web site gave a message that leads us to believe the issue is with Comcast's servers.  We know we aren't both entering incorrect login credentials, especially when some apps store them for us.

Same problem, no email access.  Seems Comcast email servers down.  Used phones and computer no luck

I am on comcast and have had no email Wednesday.

Mine also .. since today .. Comcast is claiming no problem .. seems to be a problem .. it is the ONLY thing not working on my computer.

I spent over two hours with comcast on their chat line. They could not fix the problem at all. BUT I called Apple, it cost me 19 bucks because I was out of warantee but they fixed it in three minutes walking me through the email process of redoing my email account. All is fine now.

I too went through the chat .. HELL ... he even told me that wasn't my email address.... the one I have had for 14 YEARS .. you want to know how I later figured out the problem .. I went into tools while on the email page .. and changed the compatability view through TOOLS .. now it is working .. try it if yours isn't working .. change the compatibility view through TOOLS.

The tech told me I needed to update my browser .. funny thing is .. what I found is that their email website is OLD and updating was the problem .. you have to change the compatility view because their website (email) is OLD .. at least for IE.

I have been trying to get this resolved with Comcast for two weeks.  Today I found out that they know they have a problem.  I find it disturbing that a company would not inform its customers they were having the problem and that they have no clue when they will resolve it.  Further, I set up another service email account so they could forward any emails that come to my comcast account going forward but it would not work.

So I have hundreds of emails that I cannot retrieve.  I have all the companies and people with whom I communicated by emails (banks, credit cards, friends, etc.) who have their emails rejected as well.  As I said, this has gone on for weeks and yet comcast, until today, did not admit it was their problem.

I have no had any offer from them to reimburse me for my trouble (hours on the phone and email chat, hours having to track down my bills and make sure they got paid).  Xfinity you really stepped on it and lacked the integrity to notify your customers.  SHAME SHAME SHAME.

I am fine now after Apple fixed me but  Comcast is a true nighmare of incompetence. God, I pity all those who cannot get things resolved...it made me completely nuts. I finally said to the Comcast chatter fellow that I was exhausted and had to leave and it was after midnight by then.

I had to not only take a Xanax but half an Ambien in order to sleep that night!
