cannot do bill pay

B.R. on

I have the same problem. My motherboard fried on Sunday so my son built me a new one. I can get on to BOA, transfer it's only bill pay and I get the proxy message. Tried last night and about 10 mins ago. BOA blames Microsoft and I.E. Was told to d/l Firefox or Google Chrome. Now before my board fried I had no problem and I am on I.E 10. They also told me they had no idea if it will be fixed and I should contact Microsoft or write to them. Reading some of the comments many seem to have had this problem for a lot longer then me. I have been using 10 for along time. Before I came to this site I clicked on another which is Microsoft and they said it was a problem in 11. And it seems like they got it back for them. My problem is on Sunday everything going fine with billpay on my end. When I had to add all my software because by default I ended up with 9 I.E. I downloaded 10. When I asked BOA if they were going to contact Microsoft I felt like I got a run around. Especially since Microsoft was aware of the problem with 11 and they fixed it. BOA said Microsoft did not want to support the bill pay part of the site. This is Stupid. The last thing Microsoft would want to do is for everyone to d/l Firefox or Google Chrome and use it as their default browser. I think BOA should be talking to Microsoft and not passing it off to their customers; as I said 11 had some update that screwed something up with BOA and from what I could see Microsoft jumped on fixing it. Oh and btw before my motherboard fried on Sunday all my updates were current. I have my settings to let me choose which updates to install and I saw nothing about an update for 10 it was because I had 9 on my computer. I did have some bill to pay so I had to d/l Google Chrome and got in to may account that way. But it's a PITA to go from one browser just a waste of my time. In google search I typed is anyone having problems with boa bill pay with i.e 10 if anyone is interested. All I saw again some update for IE 11 and a Microsoft rep jumped right on it. From what I also read they helped people fix it asap. I was also told by BOA rep that tons of people calling them. Really one of the biggest banks in this country cannot get to Microsoft and have them fix this? Not buying it. Was not happy either when he told he didn't know if it would ever get fixed unless I contacted Microsoft. I have been with BOA for almost 40 years and I have seen many changes and not for the better. It used to be I could go to 3 BOA's in my area recognized all the managers and they could help you with anything and get things done. That is not the case anymore..a bit tired of being told I am a valued customer and then being treated like rubbage. Might be time to switch to another bank.
