January 24, 2013 -this problem of logging on to WellsFargo on line banking has been going on for nearly 2-months. Today I spent more then 2-hours on the phone with Tech Support and they still can't fix the problem. I get "timed out" or "connection reset" messages over and over. I'm on the verge of taking my business elsewhere. WellsFargo has a computer problem and they don't know how to fix it.

Time to get this thing fixed! I have bills to pay! I don't care who the problem is, get it fixed!!! My brother-in-law lives 1/2 mile from me has Comcast and has no problem. Difference is, he has Triple Play and we do not. Could that be part of the issue?????? GET IT FIXED!!!!

they told me it was also because i use a mac, as i have done for years with no problem. have not been able to log on properly for over 2 weeks. U can type in wf.com and access your accounts, but it's not that great.

Same thing here...since 12/07/12, I cannot log on to Wells Fargo with my Comcast ISP. Both sides blame the other and I'm now at the point of switching banks and cable companies. They can both go to hell as far as I'm concerned, They're both incompetent and uncaring about their customers.

has to be Comcast, my computer works with wellsfargo.com if I access internet through a verizon hotspot instead of comcast, no issue. go back to comcast and doesn't work. my phone works with the mobile apps on cellular data but with comcast wifi, it doesn't.

Well, we have to threaten to cancel their service. Maybe that'll wake them up. I've had it with them.

Still can't log-on to Wells Fargo online banking. Does anyone really know the problem. Is it comcast or Wells Fargo?
Karen on
I believe the root lies with Comcast. I can't access my accounts at bankofamerica.com or wellsfargo.com using Comcast. if I switch to a verizon hotspot I can. I can however access accounts at regions.com through Comcast connection. so Comcast doesn't like something with those 2 banks secure sites. the very weird thing is I use a windows laptop, if I switch to a macbook, I CAN login to both using the same Comcast connection. if anyone can figure why that would be, let me know.

I think it's both...an incompatibility issue. WF told me their techs have been working on it, but the best I've seen so far is spotty. I am seriously thinking about changing both WF and Comcast.

Same problem here for a month. Same Mac worked fine under Verizon at different address. XP works fine but not my main axe under Comcast. I think it's a flash cookie problem - no new Wells flash cookies are being set on my system and so when Wells checks for them they're missing and the page reports that I'm blocking cookies (not). No satisfactory answer from tech support.

This is ridiculous. Someone can fix this!

After two months of not being able to access my bank accounts, except for actually going to the bank itself, the Comcast problem still persists. Last year I had Comcast for my TV and internet. I had purchased my own modem, a Motorola Model SB5101U, from Walmart. This model was reccommended by Comcast. This year I added my phone to the Comcast package which required a different modem. Comcast furnished an ARRIS TG862. Last week after trying everything else and puting up with comcasts BS, I unhooked the Arris modem and hooked up my Motorola. After it initialized, I tried to sign into my accounts. In a flash I was into my accounts and did my bank business. After that I hooked the Arris back up (I need the phone. Back to same-ol same-ol. Its the Arris modems. BTW This is the second Arris Moden of the same model Comcast has installed.

Looks like it's a site called prolexic.com may be "null routing" traffic from Comcast. Doing a little research, they are a partners with Level 3 (glbx Global Crossing below), the last hop before going into the Prolexic network. My laptop logs in fine using my xfinity modem but my Dell desktop does not. Problem started in Secember 2012. Just got off the phone with Wells Fargo tech support. They say some peoples are working others are not. Does anyone have a solution?

I finally installed a splitter on the incoming cable. Ran one leg to the Arris modem and the other to my old Motorola. Ran ethernet cable from my computer to the Motorola and use the Arris for router and phone line. Everything works fine except I cannot access the bank from anything going through the router of the Arris. I could hook up my old router for that too and just have the phone on the Arris, but this is good enough for now.

It's the Arris 8xx series router. We were having trouble logging into wellsfargo (getting to the login page was not a problem). We'd login and then get a timeout on the server. on the rare occasions when we would get into the site and attempt to pay a bill (or about anything else) we'd hit 'enter' to complete a transaction and it would time out on that. Reading Fred's 1st comment prompted me to go to my local comcast office and get a new router. it looks identical to the Arris but it's an SMC. the companies are making the routers to comcast specs. At any rate we have NOT had any problems with logging into or paying bills etc since we got the SMC router. My daughter has an earlier Arris model 2xx and she doesn't get the problem either. My guess is that there's something wrong with the newer Arris routers.
Fred on
That's odd, Comcast told me last week that the Arris TG862 was the only router/modem available.
