won't load times out after update 2.18

tried to upload after latest update 2.18 i think is the number for the ps3 network. didnt work failed to finish upload and crashed. have uninstaled and reinstaled and still if comes to the uplade of the newest update and fails to finnish if start alt all. this has been three days now. i get the run around from both sides but at least ps network give suggestions and admits there is an issue. netflix is prtending there is on issue and just shrugs it of to ps network. what is going on? now they want me to scrub my system and defalt it to factory settings. thousands of hours of gamming gone and for what a bad code in the file stram during uploading a update?

Ever since this update I keep getting the 25% loading screen. Sometimes I can watch for hours without the issue and sometimes it's only minutes after starting a show or movie. I've done all the trouble shooting with Netflix and when it is in the 25% loading screen I do a speedtest and I am always getting over 30 Mbps.

Same here, ever since the update this last weekend. Nothing seems to fix it. Everything else on ps3 working fine, and Netflix plays fine on the computer. Seems to be getting worse.... can't watch anything without getting the 25% load thing.

Yup. Same issue since Friday. 25% then kaput. Ive about had it.

I was having the same issue. I have Comcast as my Internet provider, I don't know which providers the previous posters have but what I ended up doing was connecting my PS3 to the wireless hot spot on my phone and the 2.18 update for Netflix downloaded and installed perfectly. From what I can gather from researching the web, as of 10-20-14 Sony & Comcast servers aren't communicating with each other correctly. I've read that Sony is aware of the issue and trying to correct the issue along with Comcast. I hope that this helps others with the issue.

Thank you, ML. I have ComCast and I was having the same issue. I did the iPhone hotspot trick and now I can use Netflix on my PS3 again. :-)

I wish there was a way to get the upgrade and install it from a flash drive. All this crap could be avoided.

I loaded the canadian netflix and it works fine. Just seems to have stopped my american netflix. Anyone have a fix yet?

The hot spot method was the only thing that worked.
