Mine and my husbands account shows a zero balance. That is not accurate. His card was declined at a cash register and a gas pump. In addition the number to Bb&t does not work. Does anyone have a clue? Our accounts seem to have been wiped clean.
The same thing happened to me I got declined 3 times! I cannot access my account online or reach anyone on the 800 number.
My card was declined too. Phone calls to BBT were disconnected

It is very frustrating when you cannot pay for your meal when you have more than enough money in your account.
Glad its not just me. I just went to the drug store to buy some medicine for a flu and my card got declined. Very frustrating but luckily i had cash on hand...
Also declined on a couple of different BB&T accounts debit cards this evening. Online acces shows plenty of balance but when I attempted to schedule a transfer a message came up saying this could not be performed. The phone balance is indicating an incorrect zero balance and no one is picking up on the 800 line after 20 minutes of holding~
My partner and I each had our debit cards declined when picking up take out. 800 # also out. That was like 7:30pm.
Bbt 800 number keeps hanging up me saying action cannot be performed after 10 min of being on hold!
Same here! Attempting to buy groceries... Mobile balance incorrectly showing zero. Online account is fine. No one answering the phone, either!

Went to grocery store and card got declined repeatedly. Went to ATM to get cash out and would not perform any action. Called 800 number and it said $0 balance. About to hit the roof. I have no cash on hand. This is multiple issues with BB&T.
VERY EMBARASSING AND UNNERVING!!! Used our card at the gas pump...went to buy dinner 30 minutes later and our accounts have been wiped out! Needless to say, trying to explained yourself to a restaurant manager was embarassing!
Tina th same thing happened to me thank goodness a friend took care of my bill, how embarrassing when I have more than enough money in my bbt account. Needless to say come Monday morning I am switching banks!
Yeah my husband was trying to get home we ran out of gas. Needless to say we had the wonderful joy of pushing our Car home. As even though I have plenty of funds in my account it was totally inaccessible.
Get your money out of BB&T. I never trusted that bank to begin with. They dreamed up charges on my account almost 20 years ago so I got my money out of there and never looked back. Now I'm trying to convince my husband to do the same. No luck so far but he's getting closer.
Situation solved! I have to apologize to BB&T. Someone tried to use my husband's card fraudulently and they caught it and shut his card down. I commend them for doing this job very well. Apologies to the company and thank you. I take back what I said. I stand corrected. There was a glitch that happened to him a couple of weeks ago that may have had to do with the fraud attempt.
