Uploading Documents (not working)

I'm having severe problems uploading documents. The first issue is that I can't even highlight the text that I want to upload a document to but once I manage to avert that problem at clicking around several times waiting for the cursor to show up then when I try to upload a document the highlight will go away all together or the document will say uploading but never finish. Please fix as I have migrated to this site cause I've heard such great things and I've bulit my site only to run into this grave issue at the end.
