After trying to place an online order all afternoon, without success, I found this website. Looking at the list of 'problem summaries' and the dates go back to at least 12/03. I didn't page back any further.
This is a bottleneck - traffic problem. I just tried again, and persisted, everytime I received the 'error - Cannot Complete Order.. I went right back to the cart. Finally was able to complete my order.
If the entire walmart.com checkout process was down, Walmart would be losing millions and millons of dollars, they would have announcements in the Checkout Cart at their homepage, their emails to subscribers, etc.
They are still losing money, I would imagine the majority of people are giving up, and purchasing elsewhere. They should indicate on their homepage and in the checkout cart that some may experience problems, high volume, keep trying... etc. They also should have been prepared for more traffic as more people have access to the web.. (ie smartphones, tablets, etc). Not very smart.
I may be wrong, but this is my assumption... js
