cannot checkout of walmart

Placed usual order; received email saying Paypal payment was cancelled.  Went to paypal, which reported that the merchant had not completed their portion of the payment transaction.  Went back to Walmart; sent email; next day received email about a credit card.  However, I payment was not via CC but by Paypal.
