Won't let me checkout

Can not proceed through checkout. Website demands phone number and when I enter it correctly the website doesn't highlight the box, as it does with shipping address and everything else on that page, so it doesn't think I entered a phone number and it won't let me proceed through check out. I was told to clear my cache last time this happened and I have cleared my cache since then, but the website still will not allow me to proceed through check out.
