Fingerprint verification error

I have been trying to activate my fingerprint security feature for 10 days without any success. I have removed and reinstalled mobile software several times with same results. Customer service has no explanation and keeps telling me to wait a few hours. I've waited a few days with no luck. All other features work without issue just activation of fingerprint feature causes error.
