I just spoke with Meetup customer support and "Jane" assured me that IT is working to correct the issue and will continue to do so around the clock until it is resolved. Let hope its back up operating fully today!
Meredith - she indicated that no email communication would be sent but to follow Meetup on Twitter for the most recent updates.
Anonymous - you should still be able to communicate with your group via your meetup group's list email address. I will be sent to everyone in the group, instead of just the ones attending that meetup event but at least its a work around. Good Luck!
