AOL IMAP mail service down, blocked by AOL's net server

We have not had any email from AOL in our IMAP account for several days.
I ran traceroute imap.aol.com, and got a good route upt to this:
13 edge1-dtc-ae0.net.aol.com (149.174.32.6) 93.641 ms 89.369 ms 88.004 ms
14 * * *
meaning that my network route is fine up to the "edge" servers in AOL's internal domain, then no further forwarding is provided.
