Can't sign on

Trying to sign on. Taking ID, shows Site Key and asks if you recognize it with a yes or no button. When putting in the pass code receiving a message to refresh or try again later.
My concern is that I received a message from a friend not to open one of her Emails and I did, because she said her computer got hacked into.
Is the BOA site really down, or has someone gained access to my banking through my computer and changed by pass code? I can be reached by Email at SusanAhl8@gmail.com or on my cell: (863) 258-2526.
