I sometimes get that when I don't usse the correct upper/lower case for part of the password. Try again, typing slower {works for me, might not for you}.
If that doesn't work, you can go through the password recovery / reset procedure ... a link will be emailed to you that would let you rest your password {or in some cases , tell you what your current password is}.
I've had to do that twice recently for accounts I had not used much since I changed the password.
If your account had been hacked, the password recovery / reset procedure will give control back to you.
