Can't get into AOL mail

I can get to the AOL home page, but I cannot log into my mail account. This has been happening for the last 15-20 minutes. When I click the "Mail" icon, it either 1) crashes my web browser or 2) I am prompted to enter my credentials and then AOL asks me to enter one of those crazy looking passwords which doesn't end up working either.
