Payments returned for insufficient funds even though the funds are there

My rent payment was returned for insufficient funds when my account has had ample funds consistently to cover the payment. The second attempt to pay still does not show in my transaction history. My attempt to pay the late fee also does not show in transaction history. An agent repeated over and over that when the payment was received by the bank, on that day, at that time, there were insufficient funds because other charges were processed in the meantime. There is absolutely no truth to that. I made no payments or purchases in any amount that alone or together would be enough to deplete my funds to less than my rent payment. Something is wrong at KeyBank. There's no alert to account holders, nothing on the website, no alert upon account sign-in, and only very reluctant and vague acknowledgement by agents that a problem even exists.
