The payment request phone number given out by Texas Work Force; 800-884-6578 is an invalid number. Once you miss the actual date to request payment you are dead in the water. I have never filed for unemployment before so did not realize I had to request a payment. Impossible to request the payment on line, all they do is give you a phone number. If you get a valid phone number you are advised to call back another time.
