The first time this happened to me I tried 3 credit cards and bank cards...Imagine my horror when I found out each one of the transactions actually went through. It tooks weeks for them to make it right.
So heres what I do from now on...Make the payment. If you see " Your credit card could not be validated" just go online and see if the money was taken, most likely it was. Its what I do.
