Hi, I also had the same issue, but luckily it was solved.
My case, the problem was previous credit card (expired one). The info was saved. Even gift card balance was enough but walmart system looks checking this credit card information.
When I put a new credit card, the payment was proceed with walmart gift card balance. (it was saved once I typed a few minutes ago).
I was surprised because I thought it paid by a new credit card, but it consumed GC finally!!
