Like other Linux users, I tried all the easy fixes - different browser, live CD, switching user agents in the browser, etc. None worked. I was considereing a Windows VM but was to lazy to try because of the setup time invloved, so thank you to Jason for confirming it works.
I also tried a Chromebook, and it got the same BSoD. I don't have any Linux based smart TVs or similar streaming devices, so I don't know if those are impacted too.
I intend to get the word out through social media to put pressure on CBS to support Linux.
