Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried the PC application and the online version on firefox and both said cannot contact the server. Then I tried Chrome and the web based version worked. I logged out of it and tried the PC based application and it now works. I don't know if the system just happened to get fixed during that time, or if it maybe had something to do with trying Chrome. That doesn't make much sense to me but I haven't been able to log into the PC or web based versions for over a week now, and nor it magically works.
