The main site still cannot be accessed as of 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday 9/26--the browser times out. The workaround (online.wellsfargo.com) did work OK. Supposedly, this is a politically-motivated cyber attack. I guess messing up my ability to access my account balance is a blow for freedom.
