I am having the same problem. I have 2 sites on my account - one works perfectly, but the other shows a window every time I am trying to edit the site saying "Please wait, we are updating your App Center applications".
I am guessing my first site doesn't have this problem as I haven't dowloaded any apps on it, but the other one had downloaded although haven't used any. Now I am wishing just to go to my page and disable them on my second account as well, so I wouldn't have this problem -_-
