Check-out Not Working

Been trying for days now ... every time I try to actually buy what is in my cart, I keep getting the same message --- "DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES ..." etc. etc. etc.
I shall be buying the remainder of my Christmas gifts elsewhere!
