Can send emails from smartphone and they are received by the person they are sent to.  Also, can see incoming emails on PC but not on smartphone.  Can see them through xfinity connect app but don't want to use it.

I have the same experience/problem on my Sprint EVO 4G. Talked with Sprint Customer Service and all their attempts were logical, but it seems the problem is on the Comast side of the fence, er ether.

Cst not able to receive emails on her Verizon Wireless dvc since yesterday 9/26/13.

Same problem here.  Per Xfinity Support, you need to downlaod  an app on Google Play (xfinity connect) and this is the new way to access email.  I will need to thank them for not letting me know  this in advance.

xfinity connect is only a 'work-around'....i want my old home page smartphone email icon to be able to bring up my comcast.net emails~!

Been FOUR days now, since I've been able to receive mail on my Evo 4g through sprint. Can access mail on the comcast site, but it's absolutely vital to have my email functioning propery on my phone. Sending mail on the phone seems to be working properly, but receiving mail, is a hopeless cause at this point. It amazes me, how suddenly, these problems arise, COMCAST!!! I've contacted sprint and comcast several times, and gotten nowhere fast. All of my phone settings are fine, etc....it's GOT to be a comcast issue. I continually receive a, "cannot connect to remote server" message. This is nothing short of ridiculous! Yet, another tactic by "BIG BROTHER" to keep an eye on you, and break your will. How much longer comcast?!?!?!?!

Xfinity connect DOES work. what I want to know, is why we are being forced into using an app? The app is a little clunky, and although it has a few bells and whistles, I would rather simply have my usual email updates as before. It is rediculous to be forced into using an app...

I've been on the phone with Verizon wireless for hours trying to figure it out...we tried removing the comcast.net app,but then wasn't able to add it again~!

I should be able to get my usual Comcast.net email, along with my Gmail & Yahoo email, all under the same Home page Email Icon.

VZ Tech told me others have been complaining about this same thing, and that Comcast has changed their server settings, and didn't tell anyone.

This really sucks for all of us...it's absurd to have to go to Xfinity Connect to see my Comcast email.
