I can't get to emails on my phone

Something's changed at Comcast. I now cannot get my email from iPod and system different on laptop where you must select "view all" to access email

I called Comcast.  The technician checked the settings with me and determined that they were all correct.  She said she couldn't help me any further and referred me to Comcast's pay for service X-Finity Signature Support.  Before they would help me, they required my agreement to pay a "reduced" $49.00 fee.  I paid the fee and got another technician who checked the same settings and couldn't figure out the problem.  His solution was to have me remove the email program from my phone and reinstall it.  After I did that and rebooted the phone, everything worked. 

I consider this whole thing a scam by Comcast.  Removing a program and reinstalling it is a basic service technique.  The person providing the free service could have suggested that.  Just another way to squeeze the consumer in my opinion.
