cannot log in and comcast says to wait 72 hrs!

Customer service at Comcast told my mom that her Chromebook was incompatible with Comcast when my mom called about not being able to log in to email! And she's been using the Chromebook with Comcast for over a year. Then customer service told her she needed to wipe the Chromebook. Then she told her she had to use Internet Explorer, not Chrome. Not once did she tell my mom that the problem is Comcast's. Fortunately she didn't follow their stupid advice. What a company.
