main site took over 4 minutes to load and when it did the majority of pitures displayed nothing more than a tiny "x" in the top left corner of where the picture should be

I'm using FireFox and the site will not load any pictures. Never happend to me before .. been going to this site almost daily for about 2 years. :/
I'm having the same problem. I'm using IE 11. It's so annoying.
