Cannot log in-password is correct

my husband was logged in and registerled for a game.  Said gsme was starting but it wouldn't go to game.  Logged out, cut computer off, and have tried a million times to log on.  Password has been checked.  Cap locks are not on.  Checked internet.  It is connected.

Error given is an error has occurred logging in.  Please try ahain
