Cannot use email.  Login won't take password.  This normally won't pop up anyway... I am about fed up with AT&T. Had no internet for 3 days last weekend.

Kim on

The pop server is no longer logging in to get my e-mail in windows mail Keeps asking for user name and password and then getting a failure message. The last e-mail I got was 8:06pm eastern it's now 12:30am and still not working. Here is the error message
Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [SYS/TEMP] Service is not available; please try again later. (#MBR1236)', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Exactly the same problem here.  Would someone with ATT tech support please post an advisory as to what the problem might be and the expected time in which the problem will be resolved?

Thanks.

This is happening to me also. It's sort of crazy because I can send emails from my client but can't received. I can access my emails by webmail, but I still need to download them for archiving. This happens occasionally, but doesn't usually last this long.

cannot get any mail from my bellsouth.net, (#MBR1236). att please fix this, i am so tired of having problems with you, no matter what it is my lousy dsl, land line, cell phone reception but this is kind of the last straw. if and when there is another option for me i will switch and up to now you have not made me want to stay and i am a long time customer of over 10 years but the last 3 have been nothing but problems, so shape up or you are going to loose another customer

Chris on

Mine started last night as well. I have been searching like crazy to see what I could do to fix and now I find I'm not alone.

Paul Staires on

I have had this same problem quite frequently over the last couple of months.

I am also having 2 different customers who are saying they are experiencing this also.

One of them - I logged in and used the newer settings inbound/outbound.att.net and it worked for a few minutes, then it started saying that we were offline,

did we wanna go online, then it would error and no email would be received.

Where is some help on this?

Paul

Looks like they changed the pop server. It is no longer mail.bellsouth.net for incoming. Change you incoming mail pop3 to inbound.att.net and change the port to 995. Make sure to also check this server requires secure connection ssl. Since changing thses setting my bellsouth.net e-mail as been working agian.

Having email issues today with att.net -- server won't take password via Outlook, iphone mail, and now can't even log in via att.net home page. Any ideas what's up?
