Can't send email

Cannot send email from AOL. Discovered that if I put the email into Mail Waiting to be Sent, I can send it from there, but that's the only way. Otherwise, when I try to send email a message pops up:  "You can only send one e-mail at a time.  Please wait for the current e-mail to be sent, then try again."
