orders won't go through

I place an order. Order is accepted, then cancelled. Gift card is refunded. I try to place order again. Order is again cancelled. This time gift card is not refunded. So I try using my credit card. Order is accepted, then cancelled.

I went through the whole order, added it to cart and get almost to the end and it says technical difficulties.  My cart goes back to zero.
