Priority labels printing 3/13 and 3/14 - but only with 'signature required'

The website allows me to print labels, but it's choosing 'signature required' on my Priority labels even though I'm not making that request.  I am NOT being charged for the service, but USPS is choosing it for me anyway.  I don't see it until the label is paid for and prints, so lots of refunds in the works yesterday and today!  Why doesn't USPS put some info in its 'Alert' section so we know what's up?  Is it because USPS wants us to go to Fed Ex?

I am having the same issues.  It's getting bad when I have almost $200 requested in refunds that will take 21 days.  My question exactly as yours, they should put an alert on the home page to stop us from creating labels we can't use.

3/17, AND STILL THE SAME ISSUE.  SIGNATURE REQUIRED.  I WAS ON HOLD WITH THE "TECH SUPPORT" HOTLINE FOR 40 MINUTES UNTIL THEY DISCONNECTED MY CALL.
