After entering address information on customs form get message system error and to check back later. Have been getting this message for the past 12 hours

I'm getting the same message. What is the problem and why is it not fixed? I need to get this package in the mail in the next half-hour ... I did not expect this. When I try to call USPS for "Technical Support", I've sat on hold for 10 minutes ... had to hang up, as I have other work to do.
