PS3 won't connect to Netflix after update 2.09

So far I've contacted Netflix, and they walked me through all the reinstalling, date/time, etc troubleshooting steps to no avail. Read Peter's response from Sony, followed the directions to a T and unfortunately it's still not working. I might call Sony myself in a bit to see if they have any other possible solutions. Mandatory upddates are so frustrating.

Same here. Peter's solution did not work. Any suggestions?

I also have this problem. Updated to 2.09 and now I get an "unable to connect to Neflitx. Please try again or visit: www>netflix.com/help"

I have the same problem after the PS3 2.09 update as well. Everything was working fine before the forced update.

I can not connect to netflix after forced upgrade either. something has to be done. Perhaps a mass decline in business would open their eyes to tge problem, or switching to another provider.

Same here! Updated, could not connect. Uninstalled, reinstalled, asked to update, could not connect. Uninstalled, deleted Netflix in game utility, reinstalled, updated, could not connect. Tried the Peter method to the T, could not connect. Need some help here.
OP here on
I called Netflix back (they hung up on me the first time), and after once again establishing that it was definitely they update they gave me the supervisor who pretty much told me that their tech guys were aware of the problem and were currently working to fix it. Told me it should be working in a few hours, but unfortunately it's been about 12 hours since then and still no dice. Looks like all that can be done at the moment is wait and hope they patch it soon.

I was able to connect by going to my channels and accessing netflix through it instead of clicking on the app. I also tried accessing netflix through "what's new" on the psn and it worked also. Then I tried going back through the app and it would not work. Maybe you guys can try it and if it has the same result.

Same problems here. Tried reinstalling and manually setting the system time to no avail.

Same same same... Used instructions on Netflix.com, followed everything they suggested. Came here & followed Peter's instructions, twice. Tried accessing it from the other locations, as suggested by John, and still no good. Actually, when I went to Netflix through My Channels, it prompted me to download it again, so I said OK, and after it went through the d/l process, it told me I already had the latest version. And I tried powering off, waiting a while, power on, open Netflix, 'try again' when it failed, 5 times, closing it using the PS button, reopening, etc., and still nothing.

Same as Scott with the My Channels experience. Also tried deleting the saved data and the app but still no go after a reinstall. I have had it work intermittently in the past few hours though.

It looks like it's a wireless problem. I just tested a wired connection, and it went right to the Netflix log-on screen. I entered my info, and it put me right into my queue. I closed Netflix, changed to wireless, tried again, and it failed, twice. Used wired again, and it connected right away. I have a Time Warner Cable RoadRunner account, which is great when it works, but it's too intermittent & unreliable to use for streaming... So instead of being pissed off every time Time Warner craps out when I'm in the middle of watching something, I just use wireless. If using wired is an option for you, give that a try.

I tried to same stuff that Scott's done and it didn't work. I just tried the wired over the wireless and it hasn't worked..... BUT THIS JUST WORKED I left the cat 5 hooked up then deleted netflixs And deleted it from the saved games areas then reinstalled from my channels and I got the login !!!! I'm now watching it !!!

I got it working by uninstalling the new version .. going to my channels then selecting netflix .. it then installs old version .. then enter credentials and it works.

Looks like it was a problem with version 2.09. As of this morning (08/23), they rolled back to version 2.08. Delete the app and reinstall from scratch and you should be fine as long as it's not version 2.09.

Today this procedure worked: 1. Delete Netflix from TV/Video Services 2. Delete Netflix from Game Data Utility 3. From TV/Video Services, select My Channels and click Netflix 4. For some reason this 13MB download took 10 minutes today on my wired Internet. It was just seconds last night when I tried. 5.When the d/l was done, Netflix launched and asked for my sign in info. 6. And it worked. I quit Netflix and launched it again using the normal Netflix icon and it worked. I was not prompted about a version update (last night this procedure then said... There is a new version).

Same here. Deleted, re-installed, and all is well again. They offered no update for 2.07, which is what I'm now running.
