So site should have been up after routine maintenance at 1.00 PT, I guess someone forgot to plug the eBay machine back in after they finished.

Nope, that can no longer be seen or found anywhere. When the site goes down for maintenance, you can still browse around. Its NEVER been like this and globally. This is a crock of BULL. Something is seriously up...now let's see if they admit it. Attacks on a site can occur much easier during maintenance anyway...that is when the firewalls come down on the entire site. Everyone knows that.
