Email starting to flow after 8 hours of nothing

Last email was received 11:36 AM Central then nothing until 7:30PM. Tried to start chat session to determine where the issue was but after entering my information link did not work. Ironically that was when the email started coming in. The email headers all show various different sent times over the last 8 hours with delivery times within 4 minutes.
I wonder how many emails were lost when there cache on the servers maxed out?
