Internet OK but not receiving email. Not sure if what I send is actually going anywhere.

We have been experiencing problems in sending and receiving emails since about 5:30 AM on January 4, 2015. Some emails go through; others are received much later than when originally sent. We wonder if others will ever be delivered. At 11:45 AM we received a notification email that our Digital BND (Belleville News-Democrat) had been delivered; the email was sent at 6:00 AM.
