For the past day I seem to be having problems with my email. Not receiving them. Is the server down or whats going on? Please let me know as this is business email

Not receiving emails, is there an eta when this will be fixed.  This is very frustrating.

I just attempted a SMTP session via telnet to the 10 priority mail exchanger gateway-f1.isp.att.net, after sending the RCPT TO command with an @bellsouth.net user, I received the following error:

450 mx.bellsouth.yahoo.com backlog too large to queue [domain may be overloaded or down]

Seems there appears to be a problem with bellsouth.net mail delivery.

Same problem here. Mail is arriving late or not at all. Senders getting bounce backs that system timed-out.

I am having the same type problem.  I sent out a number of emails in a group for our Church Prayer Ministry and those going to Bellsouth.Net addresses are not making it.  I began getting bounce backs yesterday.  Those in the group going to other addresses are being received with no errors.  I cannot receive any emails in my Bellsouth.Net account even one sent from the address to itself though the same message reached me at my work email.

Called Bellsouth AGAIN and this time was cut off.  There is a problem with bellsouth users, but at this point, when will it be fixed and no one can tell me!!!

As of 9:35 pm, April 30, 2014, I'm still getting very slow email service.  In a word, it SUCKS!!!!!

This started some time April 29th, and may have been even going on longer.  Someone should have known this was happening and should have had intellegents enough to have prevented it.

Somebody, calling themselves "Edward" in Manila said the servers for Bellsouth.net domain would be up and running by 11:00 pm tonight. (Edward.... doesn't sound like a Manila name!)  And I wouldn't bet you a dollar that will not happen.

I worked for AT&T and Bellsouth for 25 years as an engineer, and I am truly ashamed of this company and it's sorry service.

This lack of service drives customers away from AT&T.  And I guess I'm going to join the crowd.  That really hurts.  I'll bet the ATT.net domain addresses are on better servers than Bellsouth domain addresses.  And that is shameful!  Where is your backup / redundancy / safe guard to guarantee you DO NOT EVER DROP A CUSTOMER, EVER!!!!

Looks like Google is going to win this service battle.  And AT&T is going to join Eastern Airlines, PanAm, Treasurer Island, and a long list of other defunct companies that failed to provide top service to their customers.

I do wish it were possible for the President of AT&T to actually read this.  And then talk to me about how the company is dropping the ball.

Emails are a little more consistent this a.m., but this has been a total nightmare since I run my business out of my home.  Also, I have been on the phone since 4/29 for a total of 7 hours with people who speak little or very broken English, then have to go through about 5 different people.  This IS shameful and from now on, I use Google for emails.  I have had thoughts about trying to contact the powers that be at the corporate office, but, will probably never get through.

Looks like its back online again. my email seems to more consistent this morning
