I have no problem at the current time, I just hate it! The att-yahoo email sucks. I don't know where else to complain. I'll probably ditch att soon.

I hate it too-is there a way to get the previous version? If I wanted this I would go to Gmail. Please let me know.

It is visually unappealing and awkward to use. The way conversations are "divided up" is unnecessary and confusing. The worst part is the ADVERTISEMENT at the top of your email inbox. WHY are we paying for that! Seriously ... we are paying money to get advertising in our inboxes and there is no option to delete it! Unfortunately, the problem is us ... the users. Advertisements work on the internet because people respond to them. If everyone did what we do (refuse to buy anything from unsolicited ads) the internet might be a much nicer place.

The new att email is TERRIBLE! It seems that everytime some newbie comes on board they feel they have to

"change something for the better". LEAVE IT ALONE. IT'S NOT BROKEN! Please someone let us know if we can get the old email format back.

Great news! Here's how to get your old mail format back.

Go to" options"

go to " mail accounts" and there will be a statement that says "Switch now"

They try to reccomend "full features", but you want "basic"

Choose "basic" and you have your old format back!

I was really excited about getting the old format back, but this "basic" does not include features in the email (bold, italic, highlighting) that I was used to in "my" old format.  I really hate the grouping of messages and the exposure on the screen of portions of emails in the new format.  Help!

Where do I find option? It used to be easy to find things, now I am totally lost.

I had the same problem. Go to "Settings" upper right hand side and select basic from "mail view"

Thank you John McGinnis for the tip on how to get the old format back.  It's still not great but better-now my inbox and sent items are separated again instead of all being bunched up in single emails in my inbox.  Bit when the emails are open, there isn't an "X" or any obvious way to close them without clicking on delete in the task bar.  Anybody???

I answered my own question, so if anybody else wants to know:  you can click on actions, then mark as read, then apply.  That will close an open email without deleting.  Not elegant, but better than nothing...
