My office e-mail server returns a message "cannot connect to sbcglobal.net" when I try to send e-mails to sbcglobal.net addresses. Our network administrator has determined that the issue is on the sbcglobal side, not our server. The connection has been down since at least 10:55 this morning.

I too have been unable to connect.  Constantly getting those error msgs.  I even rebulit my droid phone from factory settings to no avail.

I now am not even able to set up my email on my droidl.

Pretty sad when att does not take ownership of their problem and at least send a msg saying they are working on it.

Talk about having your 'head in the sand' thinking it'll go away or be resolved before too many 'customers' notice it.

Thanks att.  I'm now looking at another carrier, since although trying to be very helpful for a LONG period of time, att tech support eventually ran out of options.  Surely a major cost for no help.  They just are NOT customer oriented.

SOLVED for me.  My  problem was on my droid.  'Coudln't connect to server' error.

Another link told me to install a 3d party yahoo mail app.  I tried it.  The 'hidden and VERY EASY solution' was HIDDEN in that install.

It wouldn't let me install untill my Yahoo account was 'updated'.  Strange, since I've been using it on my laptops.

But, I tried what the app wanted:  Go to 'login.yahoo.com'.  I did.  ALL IT WANTED WAS MY PW.

And I usually see that same screen every so often on my laptops.

Anyway...I went back to my ORIGINAL attempts at setting up and getting my e-mail and IT NOW WORKED!!!

I've since removed the 3d party app as I didn't want all of Yahoo home, just my e-mail.

Don't know if it'll work for you, but it did for me.  As to why ATT/Yahoo can't figure out their own solutions is still very unsettling.
