Can't send emails

I can receive email just fine. Not so much with the sending. None of this happened until AT&T sent me an email demanding that I reset my email with their ATTEmailUpdater.exe patch thingy. My settings are correct as per their page and it's still not working. Or I should say sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't.
